Students allege poor academic support in DE

Srinagar, Apr 17: The students pursuing post graduation in different subjects through Distance Education, University of Kashmir, on Tuesday alleged that they were being provided poor academic support.
 “We are not provided quality material and better coaching by the department. Contractual teachers with no experience of teaching and exposure in the filed are assigned the tasks to teach us. Besides, records of examination and evaluation are not maintained well in the department. The students are not given any written information about the papers they have passed,” a delegation of the students said. 
 They appealed the vice-chancellor Kashmir University to take effective steps to ensure better academic support and proper maintenance of evaluation and examination records in the department.
