Aloha declares GAT 2011 results
Srinagar, Apr 18: Aloha on Wednesday declared the final results of General Ability Test (GAT) 2011 and distributed the cash prizes among top three positions here.
“GAT results mark the culmination of a year long exercise aimed to groom students for the future competitions,” Director ALOHA, Mubashir Wafai said while addressing a huge gathering of students and their parents and teachers at SP College here.
According to him the function was organized to encourage students for various competitions.
“Everyone cannot be a winner, but everyone has an ability to be one. So I would request the parents to counsel their wards that by participating in GAT they get prepared to face future competitions,” Wafai added.
Among others KAS officers Aziz Ahmad, Shahnawaz Bukhari and Qazi Irfan were present.
Last year at least 2200 students had participated GAT prelims exam held at three district headquarters of Jammu and Kashmir. 700 students had reached to the mains level.
In the final stage Personally Test were conducted for the students to choose three positions.
On the occasion cash prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 were distributed among the final three toppers of each class from 5th to 9th standard, a statement here said.
The students, who have appeared in personality Test of GAT -2011 after successfully qualifying Prelims and Mains exams on the pattern of KAS and IAS exams, participated in the function. The registration forms for ALOHA GAT-2012 were also released on the occasion.
