Bharat Scouts, Guides Awareness camp held

Srinagar, April 18: To inculcate awareness in the minds of the budding youth about the importance of scouting, a great function was today organised by State Bharat Scouts and Guides in collaboration with Government College of Education here on Wednesday.
 The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr.Asgar Samoon was the Chief Guest while the DIG, Civil Defence, Home Guards, Mubarak Ahmed Ganai was the guest of the honour on the occasion.
 The programme was organised by NA Khan State Chief Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides.
 Addressing the scouts, the Divisional Commissioner said the need of the hour is to produce good disciplined leaders, “if we inculcate better qualities, discipline and responsibilities of social activities in the minds of the young and budding youth, we can expect good leaders who will lead the nation towards prosperity” he said.
 He said that today’s youth is our future and we should guide them. He said that imparting moral values among the youth is very necessary for a good and developed society.
 The DIG, Civil Defence, Mubarak Ganai, was nominated District President, Bharat Scouts and Guides while Aamir Ali, the Head Disaster Management was selected District Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides Organisation. Addressing the youth, the DIG asked them to serve the humanity.
 On the occasion, a student Hafsa Muzaffer was awarded Rs.2000 and a citation as the best orator. The various cultural programmes were also presented on the occasion.
