GOVT RATION SEIZED FROM PVT RICE HUSKER

Srinagar, Apr 18: Police Thursday seized 15 bags of Govt supply rice from a husker in Eidgah locality.
Officials said the catch was made by a police team led by SDPO MR Gunj Dawood Ayoub.
“On specific information regarding black-marketing of govt supply rice, police party of Safakadal Police Station seized 15 bags of rice from a private rice husker who used to procure the govt supple rice illegally and then after hulling it in his rice husker repack it in the new bags with private logo and sell it on high prices in the market,” said a police handout.
Talking to Greater Kashmir the SDPO said investigations have been started and more arrests were expected.
A case vide FIR No 34 has been registered against the accused.
Meanwhile Police Post Noor Bagh while acting on a specific information nabbed five gamblers from Guzerbal locality.
