PDP power hungry: Kamaal
Jammu, Apr 18: Ruling National Conference on Wednesday alleged that Opposition PDP was not interested in emancipation of people of the state, and only wanted to capture power by "hook or crook".
"Their (PDP's) aim is to capture power by hook or crook and this design is to be thwarted by people of the state," additional general secretary Mustafa Kamaal said.
Kamal was addressing a felicitation function of his re-appointment as AGS in the party.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was appointed as working president of NC, while his uncle and MLA Kamaal was re-appointed as AGS earlier this month.
Referring to Opposition PDP, Kamaal claimed "The party (PDP) was created in New Delhi in 1999 and funded by communal elements".
"They have no role in the struggle which started in 1931," he said adding, NC was the only party which played crucial role in emancipation of the people of the state.
Kamal said he would continue to uphold the rich tradition of Gujjars and Bakerwals, while promoting their progress.
