S Hamidís 14th death anniversary observed
Srinagar, Apr 18: The 14th death anniversary of noted separatist leader and Jammu Kashmir Peoples League chairman S Hamid was observed on Wednesday with people paying glowing tributes to him.
The large prayer meeting was organized at Martyrsí Graveyard, Eidgah, here.
A large number of people including separatist leaders participated in the function and offered special prayers for the martyrs, reiterating pledge to continue struggle for freedom.
Hurriyat Conference (M) organized a special prayer meeting at its headquarters Raj Bagh here for S Hamid and other martyrs. The meeting among others was attended by Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Khalil Muhammad Khalil, Muhamamd Yousuf Naqash, Muhammad Maqbool Sofi and Hakim Abdul Rashid. Later on, a delegation of amalgam senior leader visited the residence of S Hamid, and expressed solidarity with his family. The chairman Peoplesí League Bashir Ahmad Totta and other leaders were also present on the occasion.
A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) led by its chairman Zafar Akbar Bhat visited Martyrs graveyard and offered Fateh-a-Khwani.
The Mahaz-e-Azadi patron Azam Inqilabi has also paid glowing tributes to the memory of S Hamid.
