Ram Bagh seeks drainage repairs

Srinagar, Apr 19: Residents of Ram Bagh payeen are up in arms against the  government demanding immediate repairs of drainage system, which they said, has become defunct for years.
 “The faulty drainage system is irking us but we are helpless as our genuine complaints were never being addressed,” they alleged.
 “We are facing the problem for the last 20 years but due to the negligence of authorities it has remained in the same plight till yet. We approached the concerned authorities from time-to-time but they never paid any heed to our grievances,” said the Mohalla President.
 Another trouble with the drainage system is of the foul smell it generates. “The unpleasant smell coming out from these drains is bringing disgrace to our locality,” the locals said.
 The residents appealed the authorities to get the drains repaired.
