Zaffron Cricket, Football Tournament concludes
Srinagar, Apr 19: The Zafran Cricket and Football Tournament organised by Falahh Behbood Committee Pampore concluded at Iqbal sports stadium Pampore recently.
The member parliament, G N Ratanpori was the chief gust on the concluded function. Among others present were senior officials of J&K Foot ball Association and senior citizens of Pampore.
In the Cricket final, Royal Challengers defeated Saffron Cricket Club by 23 runs. Batting first, Royal Challengers scored 132 runs in allotted 20 overs. In reply, Saffron CC could manage only 109 runs in allotted overs.
In football final, Saffron FC defeated ISAT Football Club by 2-1 goals.
The main aim of the event was to keep away youth from drugs and develop among them the skill, secretary of Falah Bahbood committee said.
“We are conducting these events for talent search and the best talented players will be sponsored by us for national events” he added.
