2-day workshop on E-tendering starts
Srinagar, Apr 20: A two-day training program on E- tendering was held at Srinagar Municipal Corporation Friday. More than 150 participants attended the programme.
The training program is organized by National Informatics Centre (NIC) for Srinagar based departments and agencies of Housing and Urban Development department, an official handout said.
The Technical Director and the Project Co-ordinator of E-tendering and E-procurement of NIC, MS Modi imparted training to the participants for adoption and implementation of e-tendering and e-procurement in all Housing and Urban Development departments.
“The objective of the training programme is to ensure transparency and non-discrimination amongst bidders by allowing free access to tender documents, clarification, secure online bid submission and access to bid opening event to all,” the handout said.
While speaking on the occasion, the Informatics Officer SMC, Farooq Ahmed who is also the Nodal Officer of e-tendering in J&K stressed on the need of transparent system and said such a move will facilitate quick and immediate completion of E-tendering process .
