3 Army Generals Posted Out Of Valley

Srinagar, Apr 20: The three key Army Generals, who were commanding counter insurgency forces in valley, have been posted out from valley after the completion of their tenure and the new Generals have served in Army at important position in J&K.
General Officer Commanding 15 Corps SA Hasnain would also be posted out most probably at the end May month.
The Generals who according to senior army officer are being posted out are General Officer Commanding (GOC) Kilo Force Major General Ravi Thirdgay, who was supervising the counterinsurgency force Rashtriya Rifles (RR) in north Kashmir. Major General Sarat Chand has replaced him. Gen Chand has earlier served as Brigadier General Staff Leh based 14 Corps.
GOC Victor Force Major General Gurdeep Singh who was supervising RR in south Kashmir has been replaced by Major General RR Ninbhorkr. The General has earlier commanded a Brigadier in Nowshera Sector of Jammu.
GOC of Kupwara based 28 Infantry Division SK Chakraborty has been replaced by Major General LK Pandey. General Pandey has also served in J&K and has commanded a Brigade in Poonch Sector of Jammu region.
According to the officer, the handing and taking over of charges of three important key posts of Army in valley would get completed till the end of April.
Sources added that Corps commander SA Hasnain would most probably posted out of valley at the end of May month. Three names Lt General Om Prakash, Lt General DS Hoda and AK Sahani are doing the rounds for replacing Gen Hasnain.
