Improve results or face action: Factoo to CEOs

Jammu, Apr 20: Secretary School Education Department, Farooq Ahmed Factoo on Friday asked the Chief Education Officers to improve results or face action.   
 Chairing a review meeting of CEOs and Principal DIETs of Jammu Division here, Factoo said, “Poor result will not be tolerated and the cause and reasons for the low percent result shall be intimated to the administrative department for further course of action.”
 He said CEOs shall adopt at least two schools in their respective districts as Model Institute and the list of the same shall be furnished to the Administrative Department within a week’s time.
 Factoo stressed on the need to monitor the implementation of all the centrally sponsored schemes in a right earnest manner in general and mid-day meal in particular.
 An official spokesman said that various issues came up for discussion during the meeting. “Emphasis was laid on to impart the quality education to the students in all the Government Schools. With regard to opening and up-gradations of NPS and UPS standard norms must be adopted while submitting the feasibility report. Deviation of the norms from any corner shall be viewed seriously,” he added.
 It was decided in the meeting that Secretary School Education will have the review meeting of all the CEOs and DIET Principals of Jammu Division after every two months.
