Kakroo to train Ganderbal footballers
Srinagar, Apr 20: The former Indian Football Team captain, Abdul Majeed Kakroo is going to train Gandernal footballers on every Sunday.
During recently concluded ceremony of Ganderbal Seven-A-Side Football Tournament in which Kakroo was the chief guest, former international footballer announced that he would be imparting training to Ganderbal footballers on every Sunday from 8 to 11 AM.
The camp would be open for every one and players who intend to join camp have been asked to contact District Football Association (DFA) Ganderbal.
“It was long pending demand of DFA Ganderbal to depute some well known coach for their district who could train their players. They again raised this demand during concluding ceremony and Kakroo responded by saying he is ready to train them on every Sunday,” said JKFA spokesperson.
“It is good to see reputed footballer Kakroo coming forward to train youngsters. Apart from coaching youngsters he will also be preparing District Ganderbal team for the upcoming events” he said.
The JKFA is also panning to depute other former international footballers and AFC level coaches to other district of the Valley to train youngsters and to prepare district teams.
