Police recover Brown Sugar worth Rs 1 crore

Kupwara, Apr 20: Police on Friday claimed that it seized Brown Sugar worth Rs 1 crore from a youth in Drugmulla area of this frontier district.
A Police official said a police patrol apprehended the youth Muhammad Amin Lone near B Ed College when he was moving in a suspicious condition. “An envelope containing 1kg Brown Sugar worth Rs one crore was recovered from him,” the official added.
A criminal case FIR No 122/12 U/S 8/20 Narcotics and Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) was registered in police station Kupwara and investigations are on to nab the accomplices of the arrested youth, said Sajad Khaliq DySP (Headquarters) Kupwara.
