Who’s responsible?

This refers to the news report, "Interlocutors were appointed to divert attention: Er. Rashid"(GK, April 15). We should not blame the interlocutors alone. They are in fact observers, and their suggestions are in accordance with the wishes of government of India. Moreover, they have to think in terms of Indian perspective. But have people of Jammu and Kashmir ever thought about what our so called leaders (mainstream or separatists) have done to the J&K state?  Abolition of passport was done by our Prime Minister Bakshi Ghulam Muhammad. (Abolition of passport means wiping of nation or state on the global map of the world). Devolution of nomenclature from Prime minister to chief minister and sader-e-riyasat to Governor was done by our prime minister and subsequent chief minister G. M Sadiq. Re-gaining of power and undue compromise with centre (Indian government) in1975, by accepting the chair of chief minister instead of prime-minister ship, was done by none other than Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah. Separatist leaders and militant outfits have not understood the genesis of Kashmir dispute.
