Apollo Clinic comes to City
71st facility inaugurated at Karan Nagar

Srinagar, Apr 21: The Apollo Hospitals Group, a trusted name in healthcare in south Asia, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited (AHLL), Saturday inaugurated country’s 71st Apollo Clinic in Srinagar.
“The Apollo Clinic will enable the Valleyites, and people of it’s neighboring areas to access quality healthcare at their doorstep,” said CEO of Apollo Group of Hospital, Sudhir Diggiker addressing the gathering.
The Chief Guest, Minister of State for Health and Medical Education, Javed Ahmad Dar inaugurated the clinic in presence of personalities including Prof MS Khuroo, Dr GQ Allaqband and Dr Javid Iqbal, prominent poet and Director Information, Khawaja Farooq RenzuShah and Zonal Head Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Bashir Ahmad Lone.
“The Apollo Clinic has been set up in Srinagar with the objective of addressing the day-to-day healthcare needs of a family to maximize convenience and comfort,” said Prof Anupam Sibal, Group Director Apollo.
“The Clinic is an integrated model and offers facilities for Specialist and Super-Specialist Consultation, Lab & Diagnostics, Preventive Health Checks, Dental clinic and Apollo Pharmacy, all under one roof,” he added.
Prof Sibal said the clinic also pioneered a range of value added services such as second opinions from a panel of leading experts through tele-medicine and counseling on various lifestyle parameters, physiotherapy, Air Ambulance, Infertility Clinic, Comprehensive Immunization Services and Corporate packages.
Addressing the gathering, the MOS Javed Ahmed Dar stressed on the Apollo team that the quality standards should be maintained without any compromise. He assured full support to them to spread their functioning in other parts of the state.
“We will continuously access the clinics and its performance and will definitely convey them the same. If they will succeed to satisfy the need of the patients then they have a good chance to grow in whole of the state,” the minister said.
In his address Dr Allaqaband highlighted the doctors’ role in the society. “Machines don’t count, but the man behind do. So they have to treat patients with care and respect,” he said.
Director Information Farooq RenzuShah said praised the veteran doctors for their service to the people of Kashmir. “It is the duty of doctors to serve their own people rather than going after hefty jobs outside Valley and abroad,” he said.
“If the Apollo group has a good track record outside and if they do their job sincerely it’ll encourage other corporate houses to open their health chains to offer services of trained doctors here in order serve people in better way,” RenzuShah said.
Zonal Head, J&K Bank, Bashir Ahmad Lone assured the group his full support in case they need any kind of financial help.
