K-issue tormenting people in subcontinent: Zaffar
Srinagar, Apr 21: The chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Zaffar Akbar Bhat has said Kashmir was an internationally recognised issue and the world community should take concrete solid and serious steps for its peaceful settlement.
“New Delhi is constantly creating confusion among the Kashmiri people to drift them away from the liberation movement,” said Zaffar while addressing a public meeting on Friday at Jamia Masjid, Shakirabad, Gulshan Nagar in Srinagar. “The Kashmir dispute was tormenting the people of the region and would continue to do so unless it was resolved in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations. While the improvement of trade ties between India and Pakistan is a welcome sign, both the countries need to understand that peace and stability will continue to elude the region until the Kashmir issue is resolved,” Zaffar said.
