Militancy on decline: IGP

Pulwama, Apr 21: The Inspector General of Police Kashmir S M Sahai on Saturday said that militancy in the Valley is on decline.
 Replying to a query about killing of an Assistant Sub Inspector of Police at Darish Kadal in old city on Friday Sahai said, “The situation in the Valley has improved a lot and the militancy is certainly on decline. Some isolated incidents like the one unfortunate incident of yesterday should not be in any way co-related with the removing of bunkers,” the IGP said.
 He said that police in coordination with other agencies was maintaining a close vigil and are ready to face any challenge.
