Team visits Masrat Alam’s residence
Srinagar, April 21: The visiting Amnesty international team today visited jailed separatist leader Masrat Alam’s home and held discussions on his detention with his family members.
Sources told KNS that Sipta Rishi Mandal and Sahana drove to Masrat Alam’s Zaindar mohallah residence in old city on Saturday and enquired about his detention details from his family members. “The team was informed that during last two decades, Masrat was booked 23 times under Public Safety Act and despite Court quashing the orders, Masrat was not released on several occasions. The team was also handed over his (Masrat’s) detention documents,” sources added.
