Open Kashmir badminton championship on

Srinagar, Apr 22: The 19th Open Kashmir badminton championship organised by Kashmir Badminton Association is in full swing these days at Sheri-Kashmir Indoor complex here.
On Sunday finals of various categories were played in both boys and girls section. Amil of RP School defeated Suhail Shabir of Scholars School in sub-mini boy’s singles (under-10) category while Rabia of RP School defeated Malik Orisha of Scholars School in sub-mini girl’s singles (under-10) category.
In mini boys singles (U-13) category Amil of RP School defeated Muhhamad Nouman of same school while in doubles section of same category, team of Saiflan and Ishan from DPS defeated Suhail Shabir and Faizan Mushtaq.
Adam and Amil from R.P. school beat Asrar and Nouman Muzaffar from Burn Hall School in sub-junior boys doubles (U-15) category while in sub-junior girls singles (U-15) category Irsha Nazir from Kashmir Harvard beat Uzma From DPS.
Mahveen and Duha from DPS beat Falak and Aalia in sub-junior girl’s doubles (U-15) category while Syed Zainab Qalandar from Minto Circle beat Sheikh Hafsa from Linton Hall in junior girls singles (U-17) category.
Adam of RP School beat Haseeb from DPS in junior boy’s singles (U-17) category while Sabir of IUST beat Ahmed Ali of Burn Hall in junior boy’s singles (U-19) category.
