SFD, KU win matches
V-C’S CRICKET TOURNAMENT
Srinagar,Apr 22: In the ongoing Vice-Chancellor’s T20 cricket tournament two matches were played at Kashmir University ground here on Saturday.
In the first match SFD blues defeated Wonder Boys Manasbal by 16 runs. Batting first SFD were all out for 120 runs in 19.5 overs. Abid with 50 was highest scorer for them. In reply Wonder Boys could manage only 104 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets. Abid was adjudged as man of the match for his 50 runs and 4 wickets.
In the second match, Kashmir University (KU) defeated Burzuhama Cricket Club by 23 runs. Batting first Kashmir University scored 141 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Aaraft with 51 runs was highest scorer for them while Mohsin scored 31.
In reply Burzuhama could score only 118 runs for the loss of nine wickets in allotted overs. Rafique with 28 was highest scorer for them. Arafat was adjudged as man of the match.
