Badal seeks Pak cooperation

Chandigarh, Apr 23: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today sought cooperation from his counterpart in Pakistan's Punjab province for strengthening the initiative of exchange of faculty and research scholars between Amritsar- based Guru Guru Nanak Dev University and University of Punjab, Lahore.
 In a letter to Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Badal said he was of the firm opinion that such exchange programme would go a long way in building up academic and intellectual capital of these two premier institutions of higher learning.
 Badal said Guru Nanak Dev University Vice Chancellor A S Brar has mooted a proposal of mutual exchange of faculty and research scholars between these two varsities to further strengthen the bonds of goodwill, peace, friendship and amity.
