Steal official records, surgical instruments
FAZIL QAYOOM
Srinagar, Apr 23: Burglars last night sneaked into Government Dental College and decamped with official records and some surgical instruments, college officials said on Monday.
Taking to Greater Kashmir, Incharge Principal, Dental College, Dr Riyaz Ahmad said: “The burglary took place in Block-I of the College which is mostly frequented by patients and (students).”
“Official documents are missing. The burglars have broken locks of the rooms of students,” he added.
Dr Ahmad said that burglars have barged into the rooms with the help of iron rods and some surgical instruments through which they broke the locks. “Apart from official documents, personal belongings of some students are also missing,” he added.
The college principal demanded a thorough probe into the incident. Interestingly the State Vigilance Organization had recently sought some official documents from hospital administration. Officials claimed that these have already been forwarded to SVO.
When contacted an official on duty at the concerned Police Station said the investigation had already started in this regard and culprits would be brought to book soon.
He said Principal Dental College Monday had filed a complaint that burglars decamped with several items including official records.
