DOCS, ATTENDANTS FACE OFF AT SDH PULWAMA
SHOWKAT DAR
Pulwama, Apr 23: The sub-district hospital Pulwama on Monday witnessed ruckus after attendants of a patient and doctors thrashed each other inside the hospital premises over an altercation.
“An injured boy of Tiken Pulwama was brought to the hospital for treatment. The doctors refused to treat him saying that he had head injury and needs to go through CT scan and suggested them to go to SKIMS,” eye-witnesses said.
“The attendants argued with the doctors that lead to the heated discussions between the duo in which the doctors and the attendants thrashed each other in the hospital,” said witnesses.
Giving details, SHO Pulwama Mushtaq Ahmad said: “An injured boy was brought to the hospital where the doctors refused to treat him saying that the patient needs to be referred to Srinagar. The attendants got angry with the non seriousness of the doctors leading to the heated discussions and beat up each other.”
“We sorted out the matter and no FIR was lodged in this regard,” he added.
