PDP survives on deceit, trickery: Tanvir Sadiq

NC hits back

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Apr 23: A day after the President of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti said that “More than Azadi people want to get rid of National Conference” the ruling party hit back on Monday saying, “PDP is frustrated after seeing the path breaking initiatives taken by the Omar Abdullah-led government and its remarkable achievements on both political and development fronts.”
“PDP has only used the people as fodder to meet their political narrow ends. It has misfired and people have understood and exhorted faith in the leadership and policies of the National Conference,” the NC spokesman, Tanvir Sadiq said in a statement.
“PDP has survived on deception and slur so far and now stands fully exposed before the people,” he said.
“Petty Politics has been PDP's trait since its inception and it is least concerned with the welfare of the people. It has no political ideology and is a party by chance. From failed politicians they have become comic fortune tellers”.
Accusing the PDP leaders of suffering from “senile dementia,” Tanvir said gone are the days when a leader would feed the audience with slogans or utopian dreams. “People want results now and they don't have the patience to wait until tomorrow. PDP leaders have blood of thousands of people on their hands and the youth have not forgotten how their leader installed Jagmohan as the Governor of the state only to massacre innocent people in Gawkadal. People will not forgive them for their sins,” he added.
“PDP has all along hoodwinked the people by hallow and emotive slogans, they are creating a mess partly because of their rusty mindset or partly because they don't understand the global compulsions,” said Tanvir, elaborating that “The youth of today recognizes hypocritical leaders who have hypnotized them by their extremist mantra”.
“Mehbooba Ji is willing to sacrifice everything to keep Omar Sahib out of power it will do anything to topple NC led government irrespective of consequences for them or for the state”. Tanvir said, adding the coalition is strong and will complete its term.
Recalling the 2008 election, Tanvir said that PDP literally begged Congress to be part of a coalition in which PDP would not even take any ministries, adding, that anger and hatred continues to be in their minds. It is “deeply maddening” for PDP that the state under NC-Congress coalition government has had its best 3 years in a decade in terms of development, peace and tourism”, he said adding "The fact that the state had extremely successful elections to Panchayats who have now been empowered, "was something painful for them ", Tanvir remarked.
Reacting to the statement of PDP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Muzzafar Hussain Beigh against the Union Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah, Tanvir said, “Beigh is known for his double speak, his statements are characterized as utterly ridiculous, absurd, and senile,”
Terming him a politician by chance and a turn coat, he said, “People have not forgotten how their Ministers looted the state exchequer, and people still have the Forest scandal, the Sex scandal and the Shrine board incident fresh in their mind.”
“A party whose president heaps praises against a communal person like Modi has no right to talk about honesty and integrity, adding, we can only expect deceit and trickery” from them.
Terming Omar as the best thing that has happened to the state he reminded the opposition that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had promised on the floor of the house to walk "10 steps" towards the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to address the political issue of the state if the opposition party "moves one step forward sincerely".
“Omar Abdullah on record committed to walk 10 steps towards PDP if it rises above politics and moves one step forward sincerely towards Omar Abdullah to help address the political issue of Jammu and Kashmir, this shows Omar’s sincerity,” said Tanvir adding that instead the PDP is assuming the role of a disruptor and egotistical.
