Bita Karatey’s arrest undemocratic: JKLF (R)

 Srinagar, Apr 25: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front  (R) has condemned the arrest of its chairman Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bita Karatey and termed it undemocratic step.
 “By playing such tactics the police had made it amply clear that instead of restoring democratic rule in the state it (police) wanted to run its own rule. The arrest of pro-freedom leaders and activists would not weaken the ongoing freedom movement,” said vice-chairman Tahir Ahmad Mir addressing a meeting here today.
 Meanwhile, the Front chief patron and executive director Kashmir Centre Brussels Abdul Majid Traboo has also condemned the arrest of Farooq Ahmad Dar terming it as usurpation of fundamental rights of people.
 The Front has paid glowing tributes to the memory of Muhammad Yaseen alias Billa Dhobi on his martyrdom anniversary.
