NC clueless on development needs of Srinagar: Mehbooba
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar Apr 25: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday lashed the government for “failing to respond to the development needs of the Srinagar City.”
“Painting a few places on the eve of office move or redoing road dividers to benefit favorite contractors is no development while the City is facing a unprecedented crisis of infrastructure deficit” she said while addressing party meetings in south City areas.
“It is like treating leprosy with cold cream,” she remarked while articulating the problems faced by the Srinagarites.
On this occasion Secretary Coordination Abdul Hameed Kosheen, District President Muhammad Ashraf Mir, Saifudin Bhat, Aadil Jan, Nisar Ahmed Mandoo, Zone president Muhammad Rafiq Wani, Parvez Ahmed, Manzoor Ahmed, Youth District President Jahangir Wani were also present. Shabir Ahmed and Aijaz Ahmed also joined the party on this occasion, a party handout said.
Mehbooba said: “While the entire state was reeling under misgovernance, Srinagar had been held hostage by a clueless government that has neither a vision nor the capacity to execute any plans.”
“Money received for the development of City, its water supply, drainage system, road up gradation, construction of flyovers, power supply or traffic management is straightaway going into the pockets of politicians who have sucked the blood of this city for decades,” she added.
