Batul Memorial dominates 1st day

Srinagar, Apr 26: The opening day of the three-day District Srinagar Inter-School girl’s Martial art games organised by District Youth Services and Sports department that started at Youth hostel here on Thursday were dominated by the competitors of Batul Memorial Institute.
In the event competitions of Taekwondo and Sqay martial are being held in various age groups and weight categories.
The event started with competitions of Under-14 sqay discipline. In 23-kilogram category, Shafiya Shakeel of Iqra Educational Institute, Toiba Bashir of Batool Memorial Institute and Bintul Huda of Green Land bagged first three positions respectively while in 27-kilogram category, Muntaha Manzoor of Batul Memorial, Bareen Ishtiyaq of Iqra Institute and Urfie Hussain of GHSS Rainawari bagged first three places respectively.
In 31-kilogram category, Aiman Bashir of Batul Memorial, Jaisal Noor of Green Land and Lahoot Sameer of Green Valley bagged first three places respectively while in 35-kilogram category Zaira Shafi of Galaxy Public, Quraisa Jan of GHS Hazratbal and Sehrish Irfan of Green Land bagged first three positions respectively. In 39-kilogram category, Muskan of Iqra Institute, Tooba Altaf of P Convent and Mehmeen Mohi-ud-din of Green Valley bagged first three positions respectively while in 43-kilogram category, Saqia Bashir of Batul Memorial, Sabiya Jan of Green Land and Aroosa Altaf of Green Valley bagged first three places respectively.
In open category, Hiba Mushtaq of Batul Memorial, Aleena of Iqra Institute and Hazika Mushtaq of Green Valley bagged first three positions respectively.
In Under-14 Taekwon-do 32-kilogram category, Sawsa of P.Convent, Mursaline of Talent Creation and Maida Rashid bagged first three positions respectively while in 35-kilogram category, Seneha of P.Convent, Tafseeda of Green Land and Sadaf of Green Valley bagged first three positions respectively. In open category Rasheena of P convent, Tabassum of Al-Amin and Syed Shaista of Talent Creation bagged first three positions respectively.
