Drive against spurious pesticides launched

Srinagar, Apr 26: Agriculture Department’s Law Enforcement Agency has launched a massive drive against spurious pesticides, fertilizers and seeds.
In this connection, a team headed by Deputy Director, Law Enforcement, Kashmir Division inspected various godowns of pesticides and fertilizer dealers of Pulwama.
The team served ‘stop sale’ notices to several dealers.
“Meanwhile, Yatoo Pesticides Tahab and Bhat Agro Chemicals Pulwama have been found indulging in stocking and sale and distribution of non registered product of M/s K.J. Farmers Rawalpora Srinagar and VIVID Pesticides India Pvt. Ltd. Panday Nagar Delhi respectively,” an official statement said.
“Besides, bottles of Azooba from the premises of Yatoo Pesticides Tahab Pulwama without challan have been seized,” it said.
