People offered sacrifices for Kashmir cause: JKLF
Srinagar, Apr 26: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Thursday said lakhs of Kashmiris had offered sacrifices for Kashmir cause.
“Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat embraced gallows smiling and happily for a cause,” said the Front leaders, Showkat Ahmad Bakshi, Javid Ahmad Zargar and Manzoor Mustafa in a joint statement today, adding that some people who call themselves as pro-people and lovers of Shaheed Maqbool Bhat are now changing their stance and are issuing confusing statements.
The Front leaders sharply reacted to the statement of Pakistani human rights activist Ansari Barni’s in which he had said that the struggle of Kashmir was a violent movement and that the Kashmir issue is a problem of India’s internal security. “Ansari is living in fools’ paradise,” they added.
“The world is well familiar with the peaceful mass upsurge that started in 2008 when lakhs of people came on streets and held peaceful protest demonstrations across the Valley,” they added.
