Traditionalist parties impediments to dev, eco welfare: Sajjad

Srinagar, Apr 27: Chairman People’s Conference Sajjad Lone has said the traditionalist parties were impediments to development and economic welfare in the state.
 “Politics is a means to bring about change and reform and not an end in itself, as has been manipulatively projected by the traditional political parties of the State. Kashmiris were being economically persecuted by NC and PDP so that the twin mainstream parties could reap political dividends from the economic helplessness of ordinary Kashmiris,” he said addressing scores of senior functionaries and workers of Congress, NC and PDP from Ganderbal who joined PC at Lar in Ganderbal. Addressing the gathering, Sajjad said that PC was out to bring a paradigm change in JK’s politics by empowering the people to steer this nation towards a future of hope and glory.
 A PC statement said that those who joined PC include, Master Abdul Majid, senior Congress Halqa President Lar, Ali Muhammad Shah - Congress Halqa President Waliwar, Abdul Rehman Bhat – Congress Vice Block President Block Lar, Ghulam Muhammad Ganai – NC Halqa President Fateh Pora Ganderbal, Advocate Altaf Ahmed Lone – Youth NC Halqa President – Reepora Ganderbal, Muhammad Shabir Bhat – senior activist Congress, Bashir Ahmed Khan – Youth NC block President Block Lar, Mir Muhammad Khan – senior PDP activist from Chaanthan and Ashiq Hussain Qureshi – Numberdaar Chaanthan Gulaabpura .
