Student hurt in Barzulla accident
Srinagar, Apr 2: A student, Adil Farooq son Farooq Ahmed Dar of Kanipora was wounded when a speeding Tata 407 minibus hit him near Barzulla bridge.
Witnesses said the bus coming from City centre was heading towards Baghat when its driver Shiraz Ahmed of Habba Kadal lost control on the vehicle.
Police said the driver and the passengers escaped unhurt whereas wounded Adil was rushed to SKIMS for treatment.
When contacted SDPO Sadder Shabir Ahmed Shah said the accused driver has been arrested whereas the bus has been seized.
An Fir vide No 65/2012 under section 279/337 RPC, has been registered, he added.
Meanwhile, the passengers traveling by the ill fated bus accused the minibus drivers catering the route of indulging into “snail’s pace” while moving from Iqbal Park unto Ram Bagh and there after driving “recklessly like maniacs.”
They appealed the DIG Traffic Vijay Kumar to “tame the erring lot.”
