Kolkata, Apr 29: Suggesting a joint anti-terror mechanism between India and Pakistan, senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar Sunday said dialogue between the two countries should go on uninterrupted and remain uninterruptible from terrorist activities.
 "The process of dialogue should be uninterrupted and uninterruptible", Aiyar said at a function here.
 Regretting that after the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, the progress made during talks had gone back to where it began from, he said, there should be some dialogue "which even the militants can't stop".
 For healthy Indo-Pak relations, he suggested having a joint anti-terror mechanism between the two countries, which might also involve other Asian countries.
 Stating that the current crisis of nationhood in Pakistan was not related to India but terrorism, Aiyar said the neighboring country had been the biggest victim of terrorism.
 "The biggest victim of terrorism has been Pakistan. The number of people killed in Pakistan due to terrorism is more than those killed anywhere else in the world", he said.
 The Congress leader pointed out that even the headquarters of Pakistan's ISI, Army and Navy have all been attacked by extremists.
 Stating the current crisis of nationhood in Pakistan was not related to India but Islam, he said, "the fact that Islam unites Pakistan is beyond doubt but Islam divides Pakistan is also beyond any doubt".
 Aiyar, who was born in Lahore, said, terrorism was not a home-grown phenomenon in Pakistan, as "it is a global issue affecting many countries in Asia, including China".
 Former Army General Shankar Roychowdhury, who also spoke on the occasion, said the concept of war had transformed itself into low-intensity conflicts or terrorism.
 "Pakistan has, in our perception, been sponsoring groups, that are acting against India's national interests", he said.
