I was forcibly deported to Srinagar: Shabir Shah
GK NEWS NETWORK
Jammu Apr 29: After remaining under house arrest for three consecutive days at Bhatindi Jammu, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party Shabir Shah was forcefully deported to Srinagar on Sunday morning.
Shah was scheduled to address a press conference in Jammu at 11 am on Sunday morning, but a large contingent of police including Special Operation Group (SOG), Central Reserve Police Force and JK Police personnel arrived at his Bhatindi house and forcefully rushed him to Jammu Airport.
“I asked them that after addressing a press conference, I will return to Srinagar. But police officials asked me that they were asked by district administration not to allow me to hold the press conference. They asked me to come with them to Jammu Airport but when I refused, they forcefully brought me to Jammu Airport and deported me to Srinagar,” Shah told Greater Kashmir over phone.
Terming his forced deportation as dictatorial, Shah, said “the State government allows communal people who intend to divide masses and creating hatred but we have always tried to unite the masses but government always gags our voice.”
Meanwhile, zonal presidents of JKDFP for Jammu, Ramban, Doda, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Rajouri and Poonch have strongly criticized the forceful deportation of their leader.
