New TRC building to complete in 11 months: Jora

Srinagar, Apr 29: Minister of Tourism, Nawang Rigzin Jora today said the new tourist reception centre here will be completed in a record time of eleven months.
He said the new TRC will have state-of-the-art facilities and its building a blend of heritage and modern architecture. Jora was addressing a high level meeting here today. Director Tourism, Farooq A Shah and other tourism officials were present in the meeting.
He said the new building will come up at the same spot where the TRC building which gutted in a fire incident, stood.
Shan informed the meeting that the work on the building is going on in full speed. “The building will be one of the architectural marvels with all kinds of facilitation services for the visiting tourists and will have airline offices, railway reservation counters, hotel information kiosks, etc.” He said the new building will also accommodate the Directorate Tourism Office so that it will be easily accessible for any tourist. The Director Tourism said the new TRC building will be completed at Rs 10 crore.
