KPL Phase 1 inaugurated

Budgam Apr 7: The Commander 12 sector RR Army on Saturday inaugurated Kashmir Premier League (KPL) Phase 1 at Budgam Sports Stadium.
This will be the first phase of the tournament in which 12 cricket teams from the district Budgam would be participating.
The tournament has generated major interest and participation by a large canvas of youth from all over Budgam. The aim of this intra-district tournament will be to select a district team to be fielded for the phase two of the KPL tournament which will be playing major teams from other districts all over Kashmir. The phase one of the intra-district KPL tournament will be played on league basis in accordance with international T-20 cricket rules.
A colourful ceremony was organised with Commander 12 Sector Rashtriya Rifles as the chief guest and ASP Budgam Sujit Kumar and other civil dignitaries also graced the occasion
