Lt Gen Hasnain pays tributes to Imam-e-Hai Baramulla
Srinagar, Apr 7: Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain, GOC 15 Corps has condoled the demise of Imam-e-Hai of Baramulla, Maulana Ghulam Rasool Makhdoomi, who passed away on April 4.
“The demise of Makhdoomi Sahib has brought grief to the entire population in Baramulla. On behalf of all ranks of Chinar Corps, I express condolences on the sad demise of revered and respected Makhdoomi Sahib,” a defence spokesman quoting Lt Gen Hasnain said.
He said Lt Gen Hasnain visited Baramulla to express condolences to the bereaved family. “Recalling dedication of Makhdoomi Sahib in maintaining peace and harmony, Lt Gen Hasnain said that Baramulla had lost a person whose void will be felt by every peace loving person in Kashmir. He hoped that the people of Kashmir will remember the message of peace which Makhdoomi Sahib had tried to spread amongst all communities,” the statement said.
