Provide electricity as per schedule: Bijbehara villages to PDD
Bijbehara, Apr 8: The residents of Pazalpora, Jabalipora and Subhanpora villages of Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district have urged the authorities in Power Development Department to provide them electricity as per the schedule in the metered areas.
“Though our area was metered last year, but till now we are not receiving the power supply that other metered areas get,” say the residents.
“After meters were installed in our area, we were expecting improvement in power supply, but the situation is as grim as it was,” said Muhammad Yousuf an elderly resident.
He said that due to the erratic power supply in their villages the studies of their wards was suffering immensely.
The villagers threatened to took to the streets if their demand was not fulfilled immediately.
