Statements of Hilal’s parents, relatives recorded

Srinagar, July 31: Bandipora police and administration Tuesday recorded the statements of parents of Hilal Ahmad Dar, killed in Army firing last week.
Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Dar, father of Hilal told Greater Kashmir the statements were recorded by Superintendent of Police (SP) and Deputy Commissioner Bandipora. “I told them my son was killed under conspiracy,” he said adding that his wife was also present during the recording of the statement.
Mohi-ud-Din said that he told the police and administration everything. “I told them my son left home at 5.15 PM after he got telephone call to attend Ijtema. Then we received his body,” he said adding that the telephone call was made to my son by Nazir Bhat and Muhammad Ramzan.
Police also recorded the statements of some of the relatives and neighbors of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Dar.
The police have also recorded the statements of Nazir Ahmad Bhat and Ramzan. “Till yesterday, we were busy in law and order. We have recorded their statement thoroughly now,” a police official said.
Meanwhile, Army has also started its investigations. “We have recorded the statement of soldiers, who have carried out the operation,” said an Army official.
“It is going on at a fast pace. We are also trying the version of civilians as some people have claimed that they had seen Hilal some time before his killing,” the officer said adding that everybody can depose before inquiry team.
