9 quintals polythene seized
Srinagar, Aug 9: The State Pollution Control Board, in association with municipal committees Islamabad, Kulgam and Pulwama, seized about 9 quintals of polythene carry bags from shopkeepers and vendors during market checking in the three towns.
The teams were led by district officers of the Board and police personnel accompanied the market checking teams. The market checking was part of the renewed campaign launched against the trade and use of polythene carry bags, which have been banned in the state.
