Speed-up land acquisition cases: Nasir tells admin

Srinagar, Aug 9: Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Nasir Aslam Wani Thursday directed the concerned to speed-up land acquisition cases of Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) with reference to Amdakadal, Hakim Mohalla, Mughal Mohalla, Baba Dawood-e-Khakhi and Peer Takia, required for laying of Sewer Trunks for sewerage treatment plant (STP) Nallah Ameer Khan, an official handout said.
 “The Minister passed these directions at a high level meeting convened to take stock of progress of land acquisition cases of LAWDA,” it added.
 The Meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to H&UDD, Commissioner secretary to PHE, I&FC, Commissioner Secretary R&B, Deputy Commissioner , Srinagar, Vice Chairman, LAWDA, Chief Engineer, PHE, Kashmir, Chief Engineer, R&B, Kashmir, SE, UEED, Kashmir, Collector, Land Acquisition, LAWDA and Tehsildar North, Srinagar.
 “Nasir directed the officers to complete the alignment for sewer Trunks within two days and was informed that that Private Negotiation Committee (PNC) for Baba Dawood-e-Khaki and Bagh Roop Singh would held discussion on August 18th and 25th respectively,” the handout said.
 “The meeting also asked Vice-Chairman LAWADA for joint inspection for certain alignment spots for taking the decision in this regard on the spot so that the laying of sewer trunks could not be deferred further on these areas.”
