Arrested On Way To Nearby Mosque

 Srinagar, Aug 10: Police Friday arrested the Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani while he was on way to offer Friday prayers.
 Taking to Greater Kashmir, the spokesperson of the amalgam, Ayaz Akbar said: “As soon as Geelani moved outside his Hyderpora residence for offering prayers Friday prayers in a nearby mosque, a posse of policemen stopped him and arrested him. He along with other associates was taken to police station Humhama.” 
 “We had no programme to address any gathering anywhere. Geelani was just going to offer Friday prayers. So even choose a nearby mosque,” Akbar said.
