Sheikh Aziz’s martyrdom anniversary today

Srinagar, Aug 10: Various separatist leaders have paid glowing tributes to Sheikh Abdul Aziz on his fourth martyrdom anniversary being observed on August 11, Saturday.
Paying rich tributes to Sheikh Aziz, Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Shah Geelani, said, “The best way to pay tributes to the martyrs is to continue struggle without feeling tired. Sheikh Aziz had spent his whole life for the Kashmir cause and achieved martyrdom for it. He was a sincere leader and had spent most part of life in jails.”
Paying rich tributes to Sheikh Aziz, the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik described him a thorough gentleman, freedom lover and selfless leader. Yasin said the martyrdom of Aziz strengthened the peaceful people’s revolution in Kashmir and this nation would always remember him and his sacrifices.
Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) Chairman Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bita Karatey paid glowing tributes to Sheikh Aziz and others who achieved martyrdom during mass movements from 2008 to 2010. “Front has decided to participate in the programme being organized in connection with the anniversary of Sheikh Abdul Aziz on August 11,” he added.
The largest function in connection with observing his anniversary would be held at Eid Gah here.
The chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (H) Javid Ahmad Mir while paying glowing tributes to Sheikh Aziz, and others, who achieved martyrdom from 2008 to 2010, reiterated the pledge to take their mission to its logical end.
The chairman of Peoples’ Freedom League Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, while paying glowing tributes to Sheikh Aziz, eulogized his contribution to the struggle of Kashmir. He also paid rich tributes to other martyrs of 2008. Paying rich tributes to Sheikh Aziz, the Tehreek-e-Muzahamat Jammu Kashmir chief Bilal Ahmad Siddiquie described him a sincere and bold leader, who had dedicated his whole life to the cause of Kashmiris right to self-determination.
The Jammu Kashmir Mass Movement chairperson Farida Behanji, while paying rich tributes to the Sheikh Aziz, described him a great leader who spent a long time of his life in jails. “He was an astute political leader and had worked at every front for the Kashmir cause,” she said, reiterating pledge to take the mission of martyrs to its logical end.
