SMC’s traffic signals go out-of-order

Srinagar, Aug 10: The traffic signals installed by Srinagar Municipal Corporation have stopped working at some spots in the City thereby hindering smooth flow of traffic.
 While the much-hyped traffic signal, installed right outside the SMC office and the adjacent Karan Nagar square is not working for the past around a month, there’s a problem at some other spots as well.
 The recently installed signal system at Gojwara in old City, as per complainants often plays hide-and-seek.
 Sometime back the signal system didn’t function properly at Ram Bagh.
 When contacted a SMC official said the signals are still in the “testing phase.”
 “These haven’t been formerly handed by the company people and are still under testing because errors if any being ascertained,” he pleaded
