SKIMS EMPLOYEES WANT DR AHANGAR BACK
Srinagar, Aug 12: Non-Gazetted Employee’s Welfare Association (NGEWA), SKIMS has appealed to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, to ask Dr A.G. Ahangar to continue with the post of HoD, Cardiology SKIMS.
“In view of the interest of Institute as well as the whole community, Dr Ahangar should continue to serve the desperate people of Kashmir who have great hopes with this great heart surgeon who is known for his humane approach and mastery in treatment of heart related disease,” said Ahamad- Ul-lah Wani, general secretary, NGEWA in a statement. “If Dr Ahanger leaves SKIMS, it will be a big loss to the students who will lose a mentor and will be a blow to the post doctoral training in the state,” the statement added.
Dr Ahanger has been recently posted as Director North East Indra Gandhi Institute of Health and Medical Sciences Shillong.
