Training camp loudspeakers irks locals

Srinagar, Aug 12: The residents of Humhama have complained that loudspeakers at training camps of various security forces including Border Security Force (BSF) in the area were giving them sleepless nights.
 The loudspeakers are proving a nightmare for the residents of colonies like Gogo, Rawalpora and also the Friends Enclave which houses villas of some government top brass including Divisional Commissioner Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon and Member Parliament Prof Saif UD Din Soz.
 “The day at these centers begins at around 3:00 AM with a banging music, which continues till sunrise,” the residents said adding the children and the elderly get badly disturbed.
 The training camps are also being used as a firing range, which again rattles the area.
 The residents said even though they had appealed the government to look into the matter till now nothing has been done.
 They appealed Divisional Commissioner Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon to look into the matter.
