DDC Ang reviews Shab-i-Qadr, Eid arrangements
Islamabad (Anantnag), Aug 13: Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag Farooq Ahmad Shah today convened a meeting and took stock of the arrangements made by concerned departments ahead of Shabi-Qadir, Jumat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitar.
Addressing the meeting, DDC directed the officers particularly CAPD for ensuring buffer stock of the essential commodities besides taking necessary steps for maintaining price line of vegetables, mutton, poultry and cheese.
The meeting was informed that special instructions have been issued for selling mutton, chicken broiler, layer chicken, vegetables and other items according to the prescribed rate list besides ensuring their quality. The DDC asked the market checking squads to deal strictly with those indulging in profiteering and hoarding.
The DDC also directed the Power Development Department (PDD) officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply on Shab-I-Qadar and also asked them and the Municipal Council authorities to make functional all the street lights in Islamabad town and install new wherever required. The municipal authorities were further asked to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness in the town. The meeting was also informed about the traffic arrangements.
