Hathi Khan complains of filthy water supply
Srinagar, Aug 13: The residents of Mohalla Hathi Khan in Kathi Darwaza area and adjoining Shah Abaad have complained of “filthy drinking water” being supplied to them by local water filtration plant.
The delegation of residents told Greater Kashmir that for the last one-and-a-half month they have been receiving “filthy water from their taps”.
“Though water supply to our area has never been continuous, now adding more agony we have been receiving filthy water. The water supplied contains dirt and is full of rust,” the locals said.
“We apprised local PHE official’s a number of time about the problem but they seem least bothered,” they said.
They appealed the PHE Executive Engineer to personally look into the matter.
