Salahuddin supports Geelani’s shutdown call
Muzaffarabad, Aug 13: Chairman of United Jihad Council, Syed Salahuddin, has supported the shutdown call given by the Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, for August 15.
“The purpose of observing shutdown on August 15 is to express our resentment against Kashmiris being denied their Right to Self Determination,” Salahuddin said in a statement.
The UJC chief also decried international community’s apathy towards Kashmir and Kashmiris saying that the criminal negligence on the part of world community was highly condemnable.
Salahuddin said the UJC and the heirs of Kashmiri martyrs would make all out efforts to take the movement to its logical conclusion.
Meanwhile, Tehreek-e-Muzahamat chief Bilal Ahmad Sidiqui has also urged people to observe complete shutdown on August 15.
