GAD Special Secretary among 3 to get CM’s Vigilance Medal

Srinagar, Aug 15: The state government has accorded sanction to the grant of Chief Minister’s Vigilance Medal in favour of three officials for the year 2012 for “displaying conspicuous and exemplary courage in exposing corruption and/or creating awareness against corrupt practices.”
“The awardees include Special Secretary GAD G S Chib, Inspector, State Vigilance Organization, Qazi Syed Mehmood and Head Assistant GAD, Abdul Rashid Lone,” an official spokesman said, adding, “The awardees would receive a cash prize of Rs 51,000 each, a medal and a certificate.”
