UAV used for surveillance
Srinagar, Aug 15: For the first time, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) was used for surveillance in and around Bakshi Stadium for I-Day function.
The UAV hovered over Bakshi Stadium and was being controlled from the police control room. The UAV were used by Army at Line of Control (LoC) to monitor the difficult terrain. It has a range of covering an area of nearly one kilometer. “It was for the first time that such surveillance equipment was used for monitoring the movement of people in any official function,” a senior police official told Greater Kashmir.
